So last week I told you I started reading Gabby Bernstein’s book Miracles Now. Doing more research on Gabby, I found she sells affirmation cards. I checked them out, but since it was the end of the month I was bombarded by all of my bills, so I couldn’t buy them. Danielle heard my dilemma and decided our session last Wednesday would be solely to make my own affirmation cards. She pulled out her crayons and gave me index cards and I engaged in self-care during my last therapy session. I wrote about 10 cards in the session, but only finished coloring one of the cards. Throughout the week, I have been slowly adding cards. I struggled with what I could write on the cards, so I did what anyone would do when they need help, I googled it! I got so many ideas and now I have about 20 cards. (Thanks Google!) Basically, all I am doing now is decorating each card. I want to make a total of 64 cards, so once I finish decorating these I will continue to make cards one at a time. Not only is this therapeutic, but it is also beneficial. Once I finish the cards I intend to use them. Starting off my day with a positive affirmation isn’t a bad thing, and honestly I look forward to using them since most of them are custom to my personality. I know my triggers and what I need to work on so I purposely designed them for me. I do hope these will help me on my journey to change my negative mindset.
